New ebook series: Fruithills Suspense Series

At last it's Autumn, and the weather is cooling things down a little, before they heat up for the Holiday Season. My 50th Anniversary Celebration at work was a wonderful event, with a company supplied catered meal from Papa Vino's (my favorite) for everyone at our Edison Lakes Site on Friday, October 14, two days before the official date of October 16.

Then it was hurry-up, catch-up to complete the first two books in my new Fruithills Suspense Series in time for Halloween readers. Both "An Old Flame," that is centered around a Halloween night ghostly encounter in Bristol's Oak Ridge Cemetery, and "Beckoning Bonneyville Mill," a ghostly story inspired by the oldest continuously operating mill in Indiana. Both are published at feedbooks.com and available for FREE download to your ereader or other device.

This new series will feature some of the spirit inhabited places in and around Washington Twp, Elkhart County Indiana, situated in the midst of the beautiful hilly landscape where early European settlers grew and shipped the plentiful apples, strawberries, melons and many other fruits by train to Chicago and beyond.

Sometimes considered a sleepy little community, lost in time, it harbors an interesting array of people, places and things that may or may not be real and may not always be what they seem.  Check back again soon for the next book in the series "Window into the Past," coming in November.

2011 is a signature year

The year of 2011 marks several important events for me. Not only is it my 50th year employed at the old Miles Laboratories, now Bayer HealthCare LLC, but it also marks my 50th Anniversary of graduation from Elkhart Central High School in Elkhart, Indiana.

In addition, in 2011, I published my first six original books at the French cloud publishing company, feedbooks.com, under my own name and my a.k.a. of Amy Hayle.

"The Crows" is a fantasy horror tale/child's nightmare; "When Willis Walks" is a mystery horror tale of buried memories; "No Spring Chicken" is a story of family life, independent spirit and ageless grace; "Ages of Life" is a commentary on fate, hope, change and despair; "August Heat" is a story of dead relatives, memories, guilt and the 1960's; "Sign Switch" is a humorous "chick" story about a discontented Virgo who longs to be a Sagittarius.

These short books can be downloaded free in a number of formats, including for the Nook, Color Nook, IBooks, Kindle and other popular tablets. Download one or all free, and see all the Free good reading available on this site.
